Here are the top stories today in Catonsville:

  1. Yesterday, the Catonsville Senior Center Council special events committee planned a festive gathering for the community's senior citizens. About 30 participants enjoyed a turkey feast with friends and fellow members during the Center's "Eating Together" lunch. Members were encouraged to write what they were grateful for this year and each entry was read during the meal. (Catonsville Senior Center Council)
  2. Numerous Baltimore County services will be closed on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday, including the main offices and the county court system, the health department, landfill and drop-off centers, public libraries, and senior centers. Trash, recycling, and yard materials will not be picked up. CountyRide and the Towson Loop Circulator Service will not run on Thursday, but parking meters are free for the day. (Catonsville Patch)
  3. Bishop Victor B. Galeone, the former pastor of St. Agnes in Catonsville, has been recognized by the Archdiocese of Baltimore for his 60 years of service to the Catholic Church. Bishop Galeone was among the 27 jubilarians honored during a special Nov. 22 event at St. John in Westminster for their commitment to the faith community.
