Area In Senior Living Facility Evacuated Due To Hazmat Situation
A senior living facility in Catonsville was evacuated by firefighters Tuesday after an uncontained hazardous materials spill was reported.
CATONSVILLE, MD — A hazmat situation was quickly resolved Tuesday afternoon at the Charlestown Senior Living facility located at 715 block of Maiden Choice Lane. According to the Baltimore County Fire Department, no injuries were reported and the situation was quickly mitigated.
An area of the facility was evacuated by firefighters at approximately 2:20 p.m. for the incident that involved "uncontained hazardous materials," specifically a chlorine spill. The fire department didn't disclose how the chlorine spilled or how large the spill was.
