Burglary Turned Into Shooting Off Edmondson Avenue: Police
A woman who tried to dial 911 was shot and injured during a residential burglary Wednesday night, Baltimore County police said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said a woman was shot and injured Wednesday night after she struggled with a burglar in southwestern Baltimore County. The shooting occurred in the 600 block of Aldershot Road, according to police.
Police responded to the area, which is off Edmondson Avenue, at 7:55 p.m. for a reported burglary in progress. Shortly, the incident was upgraded to a shooting, according to authorities.
Based on the initial investigation, police said a burglar went into a residence in the 600 block of Aldershot Road, where a resident who was inside called 911.

The burglar struggled with the 44-year-old woman, who was shot once in an upper extremity, according to authorities.
The burglar ran away but was quickly located and taken into custody, police reported. The suspect will be identified once charges have been filed.

Officials said the woman was taken to an area hospital, where she was expected to survive her injuries.
