Thieves Targeting Vehicles at Parks in Greater Baltimore: Police

Baltimore Environmental Police report multiple thefts from vehicles have been reported in parking areas.

Are you heading to a local park or reservoir?

Thieves have been targeting unlocked vehicles and vehicles with valuables that are visible, according to the Baltimore Environmental Police.

Now, police have posted signage reminding citizens to secure their valuables before leaving their vehicles unattended.

“A particular target is women’s purses,” Baltimore Environmental Police reported. “Please bring valuables with you if hiking or secure items out of sight prior to parking in a reservoir parking area or trailhead.”

Anyone who sees suspicious activity may report it to Environmental Police by calling 911 or 410-517-3600.
