Brown, whose last known address was in the 5600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard, was receiving medical treatment at the hospital in the 900 block of South Caton Avenue in Baltimore when he escaped.

He was ordered held without bail Thursday on the assault and robbery charges, police said.

In the assault case, an officer from the Wilkens precinct of the Baltimore County Police Department tried to conduct a traffic stop on Wednesday, July 26, upon finding that the registration plates were not meant for the gold Cadillac DeVille that Brown was driving, according to police.

As the officer was getting out, Brown reportedly backed into the police car and then peeled out of the area.

Authorities said they identified Brown as the suspect in the assault on the officer while investigating a holdup at the Cricket Wireless store in the 700 block of Rolling Road the afternoon of Saturday, July 22. In that case, Brown was charged with armed robbery; robbery; and theft between $1,000 and $10,000.

He was also charged with second-degree assault in the officer ramming incident, police reported.

Brown is described as a black man who is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 205 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and multiple tattoos. The tattoos are on his right eye, neck, throat and arms, police said.

Anyone with information about where Joshua Brown may be is asked to contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020.
