Leggere: The Chamber of Commerce's Taste of Catonsville is one of our largest events with almost 20 vendors and 300 guests, but my job is basically the same as it is for every event: make sure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish and that everyone has a good time!

Patch: What other sorts of events do you organize?
Leggere: We have other large, public events like Taste of Catonsville; we do smaller private events for people like weddings or birthday parties; we do member-only events for the club like our Mother’s Day event.
Patch: What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Leggere: Entering this catering business with no prior experience; this is definitely my biggest accomplishment yet, having this much responsibility.
Patch: Was there someone who had a strong influence on you, personally or professionally?
Leggere: My family. Both my parents, with their strong work ethic, were good role models for me. And my older brother, he is really dedicated to his work for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Patch: What do you consider to be your strongest abilities?
Leggere: I am patient with people and a good listener and mediator. I try to stay positive. I’ve always considered myself to be very organized, and I’m learning to pay even closer attention to the details.
Patch: What would you most like to improve about yourself?
Leggere: My ability to delegate. I’m a perfectionist and so I like to do things myself, the way I like them done.
Patch: What is one of your professional dreams?
Leggere: I find it so rewarding to bring happiness to people through events, and I would like to be able to do that in connection with raising money for different causes.
Patch: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Leggere: I was a graphic design major in school, and I enjoy doing some free-lance design. I also work out, run, and do yoga.
Patch: What is your favorite room in your house and why?
Leggere: I just moved so I kind of love it all. But I would say the kitchen, because it’s a great place for entertaining and cooking and I love to do both.
Patch: What kinds of music do you listen to?
Leggere: Just about anything that puts me in a good mood.
Patch: Where is your favorite place in the world, other than home?
Leggere: Probably anywhere near the water . . . the beach . . .any kind of water, really.
Patch: What is your favorite thing about Catonsville?
Leggere: I’m just learning about the community. That’s one thing that I really enjoy about the Taste of Catonsville—it’s an exciting opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the diversity of local restaurants, bakeries and caterers.
