Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Catonsville Worth $86,525

CATONSVILLE, MD — One lucky individual bought a winning lottery ticket worth $86,525 on Aug. 4 at the Soda Pop Shop, 1026 Ingleside Ave. It's the third progressive top prize in the $5 Payday game and the first Fast Play ticket with a progressive top-prize win sold at this particular retailer. There are 17 progressive top prizes remaining in the game where the progressive top prize starts at $40,000 and increases with the purchase of every ticket.
Lottery officials recommend the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize. Winners typically get 182 days to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s coronavirus state of emergency.
In July, someone bought a winning lottery ticket worth $100,000 from Ingleside Food Mart in Catonsville. The winning numbers were 7, 29, 35, 40 and 45; the Powerball was 26 and the Power Play multiplier was 2. The lucky $100,000 winner matched four of the first five numbers and also had the Powerball number, delivering a base prize of $50,000. The winner also had the Power Play option on the ticket, doubling the prize to $100,000.
