One councilman consolidated the requested budget, and the council's amendments into a two-page, easy-to-understand document.
The document, prepared by Councilman Fazlul Kabir (Dist. 1), highlights the new services included in the amended budget, like an additional $100,000 for contract police hours and $20,000 to expand the noise enforcement hours in the city.

The document also breaks down where the city's money comes from (51 percent from property taxes) and where it goes (33 percent toward public works and 25 percent toward public services).
Kabir produced the document ahead of tonight's in north College Park, where residents will be able to ask council members about the budget.

A public hearing for the requested budget is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 8 in the council chambers of . The council is scheduled to adopt the budget on May 22.
