Co-op preschool starting in Mt. Rainier

We're creating a top-notch, affordable school in the Mt. Rainier, MD area for kids ages 18 months-4 years, for starters. We'll be adopting an alternative curriculum like Montessori, Waldorf, Regio Emilia, etc., and are also planning on Spanish, Chinese or Arabic immersion, depending on the personnel we're able to recruit. Start date could be in the spring, summer or fall, depending on recruitment.

Co-op preschool means that, in addition to a hired teacher and assistants, parents volunteer to work at or for the preschool. Volunteering during business hours isn't mandatory, since there's plenty to do after hours too.

The school will be in either a rented or purchased residential or commercial property, not in someone’s home. It will be very strongly insured.

Part-time families can share one full-time slot, so part-time families shouldn't rule this out.
