Do you live, work or go to school in Prince George's County, and are you proud of the City of College Park?
You might want to consider running for Miss College Park, then. The 21st annual Miss College Park Scholarship Pageant will take place next month to select a candidate, between the ages of 16 and 24 years old, to represent the city in several capacities.
To compete, candidates must:

- have never been married;
- have no kids;
- be available for at least one appearance a month as Miss College Park;
- live, work or go to school in Prince George’s County.
You must also dress appropriately, as an important dignitary for the city, according to Angela Rodriguez, an organizer for the program.
Candidates will be judged on the following phases:

- interview
- casual appearance wear
- evening gown
- on-stage question
Miss College Park will have the opportunity to compete in the Miss Maryland Collegiate Pageant, ride in parades and participate in charity work throughout the year. She will serve as the local ambassador for College Park, the College Park American Legion, Queen for a Day, Special Olympics and Welcome Home Troops - Maryland.
She will also receive a $2,000 cash scholarship, crown, banner, floral arrangement, photo session, official portrait, crown necklace, spa gift card and a coach purse.
Runners-up will receive a cash scholarship, floral arrangement and a crystal trophy.
