Armed Robbery Near University of Maryland Campus: Police

Police are investigating the incident that took place Friday.

COLLEGE PARK, MD - An off-campus commercial robbery near the University of Maryland was reported Friday, according to UMD police.

The Prince George’s County Police Department and the University of Maryland Police Department responded to 7201 Baltimore Avenue around 2:45 p.m.

“Two male suspects armed with handguns, entered the store, took property and left. The suspects were last seen leaving in a vehicle, driving East on Guilford Road towards the College Park Metro station. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects,” police said in a statement.
