New and Affordable Neuter/Spay Program for Maryland

The HSUS and Maryland Votes for Animals has teamed up to create a program for Maryland to decrease euthanasia rates with a neuter/spay initiative.

The HSUS and Maryland Votes for Animals has teamed up to create a program for Maryland to decrease euthanasia rates. What’s great is that this program has been implemented in New Jersey with a 61% decrease and in New Hampshire with a 75% decrease in animal euthanasia (HSUS). According to Sen. Joanne Benson, millions of dollars are spent on intake, housing and euthanasia. That’s $8 to $9 million tax dollars a year (about 45,000 homeless cats and dogs) (HSUS). The program is a great way to save animals, lower spay/neuter fees and engage the animal-loving community.
