On Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Friends of Patuxent will be hosting our inaugural **Local Community Environmental Fair. Completely free for the whole family, packed with activities, taxidermy dioramas, learning opportunities, and entertainment. Here is a sneak peek at what we have planned: Connect with Local Experts: Meet representatives from over 20 local environmental and conservation organizations to learn how you can make a difference in your community. Special Film Presentation: Enjoy a screening of “The Extraordinary Caterpillar.” Art & Discussion: The fair is being held in conjunction with a fantastic photographic gallery exhibit, featuring a special talk by Keith Kozloff about his work, inspired by the legacy of Rachel Carson. Live Music & More:Enjoy live acoustic music as you explore the fair and connect with neighbors. Learn more about local wildlife conservation, discover native gardening tips, go for a hike, or just enjoy a beautiful summer day with the family at Cash Lake and Patuxent Research Refuge grounds.
