Calling all runners and walkers!

Maryland CASA Association seeks participants for annual Baltimore Running Festival in October

Team CASA, the official charity team of Maryland CASA Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated toward ensuring all of Maryland’s abused and neglected foster children their right to safe, permanent homes is seeking runners and walkers to join its team. The organization aids 15 local programs throughout the state in the recruitment and training of adult volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

The primary responsibility of CASA volunteers is to serve as the “eyes and ears” of the court, getting to know the child while gathering information from the child’s family, foster parents, teachers, counselors, etc. and making recommendations to help the judge decide what is best for the child.

CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and share a commitment to improving children’s lives.
