City Of College Park Begins Annual Coat Drive
The City of College Park has begun collecting gently used warm coats, hats and gloves to distribute.

COLLEGE PARK, MD - From the City of College Park: The City of College Park with One Warm Coat, a national non-profit organization, has begun collecting clean, gently used warm coats, hats and gloves to help local residents in need stay warm in the coming winter. The City invites College Park residents to make a difference in their neighbor's lives by donating clean coats, hats and gloves for both children and adults during the coat drive.
Last year, the City collected and distributed over 200 coats and cold weather items to the College Park community and is hoping to exceed that goal this year.
The City's warm coat drive will take place from November 13 through December 11, 2017. Donated items can placed into designated collection boxes during business hours at the following locations:

City Hall, 4500 Knox Road
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Youth and Family Services, 4912 Nantucket Road
Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Department of Public Services, 4601A Calvert Road
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All donated coats will be distributed by the Department of Youth, Family and Senior Services throughout the College Park area to local children and adults in need. "College Park is a very caring and generous community; every day I see residents helping one another and this coat drive is a great way that residents can really help neighbors in need keep warm this winter" said Scott Somers, City Manager.
