Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards will be the guest speaker for Parkdale High School's American Education Week Open House.

During this year’s American Education Week (AEW)—November 17-21, 2014— Parkdale High School along with millions of educators, parents, students, and community leaders will join the National Education Association (NEA) in raising awareness about the critical need to provide every child with a quality public education. Here, in Riverdale, Maryland, Parkdale High School will sponsor various activities all week long to celebrate AEW.
Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards will join us as the guest speaker at our annual American Education Week Open House on Friday, November 21, 2014. The AEW Open House will begin promptly at 9:00 am in the Parkdale High School’s Media Center. The AEW Open House will help reinforce American Education Week’s theme, “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility.” The theme represents NEA’s vision of calling upon all Americans to do their part in making public schools great for every child so that they can grow and achieve in the 21st century.
Principal Tanya Washington, Administrators, Faculty, Staff and Students of Parkdale High School cordially invites the community and our educational stakeholders to celebrate and to help us spread the word about the importance of great public schools in the lives of students.
