Bike to Work Day

Bike to Work Day is a free event co-sponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Commuter Connections program and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA).  Bike to Work Day champions bicycling as an alternative to drive-alone commuting; a leading contributor to traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions. The event is held annually to cap off National Bike to Work Week and has grown to include 58 “pit stops” in the region.

Bike to Work Day 2012 will take place on Friday, May 18th. The City of College Park will again be hosting a pit stop at City Hall, 4500 Knox Road, from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.  We generally have about 100 riders visit the College Park pit stop over the course of the event.
