Many women have extremely busy schedules – sometimes
resulting in them not prioritizing their overall health and wellness. That’s why Doctors Community Hospital developed the Women’s Wellness Retreat.
This one day event provides a convenient and nurturing
environment for women to receive reliable healthcare information from experts. In addition to cooking demonstrations presented by Wegmans, participants can receive various health screenings or attend the following educational sessions: bladder control, breast health, diabetes management, fitness information and
demonstration, health literacy, heart-healthy lifestyles, robotic surgery, sleep and the aging woman, supermarket and nutrition smarts, and surgical weight loss options. Special guest speakers are Charlene Dukes, PhD,
president, Prince George’s Community College; and Pamela Creekmur, health officer, Prince George’s County Health Department.
