The Russett Community Association’s Green Committee is holding its sixth annual Green Day Celebration event – FREE to the public.
This year Russett will showcase more than 25 vendors offering products and services that support a more sustainable, environmentally friendly lifestyle. Come and discover new green products and practices for both your home and personal care and find ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

- Test Drive electric and hybrid cars.
- Discover energy efficient exterior home remodeling products.
- Talk with specialists who can show you ways to make your home, lawn and garden more environmentally friendly, including the use of rain barrels and tower gardens.
- Connect with local resources for organic food options, including Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
- If energy conservation is your interest, you will have plenty of opportunities to look into home energy audits, energy alternatives and more.
- Find environmentally safe cleaning products and services, eco-friendly gift baskets and green jewelry, vegan and gluten-free personal care items and organic food and drink products.
- Experience ways to enhance your own personal health with free yoga, pilates and more.
- Talk with local beekeepers to learn about treatment-free, biodynamic beekeeping and the why we should all care about the health of honey bees. And, in the evening, join us in a special screening of “Vanishing of the Bees.”
Many vendors are offering giveaways, samples, or raffles. This is also a great opportunity to pick up a recycle bin, courtesy of Anne Arundel County Waste Management.
