JTCC School Students Cleanup the Neighborhood

As part of the JTCC Community Service program, we have “adopted” a section of park trail near our facility, which we clean up several times a year. Students from the JTCC School joined Park and Planning for an educational anti-litter presentation and a neighborhood cleanup activity.

The anti-litter presentation taught students the negative effects of litter and what can be done to stop it. Then the students were given supplies and hit the streets to clean up the neighborhood. The students took the pledge agreeing to keep their neighborhood clean and to properly dispose of their refuse. This event promotes students to take pride in their homes, school, and neighborhood which is an important first step in a cleaner and more beautiful Community
