Last Chance: Hiker/Biker Trail Construction Bid Deadline

College Park is looking to extend the hiker/biker trail to Paint Branch Parkway, and the city is accepting bid proposals for the project until Thursday.

The 8-foot wide path will stretch north from Calvert Road on the east side of Rhode Island Avenue, according to the request for proposals. The contract winner will also be expected to address curbs, gutters, sidewalks, signage, crosswalks, pavement markings and landscaping, according to the proposal request, which can be read in full here.

Bids must be mailed to the Finance Department, City of College Park, 4500 Knox Road, College Park, Maryland 20740 no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday.
