You might think all IKEAs are pretty much the same — lots of rooms no one lives in sitting there full of books in languages you don't know. But the Wembley IKEA in England is really mixing it up — they released 100 random cats into the store overnight, to "see what happens."
Tim from the "creative team," wearing what appears to be really hip long-johns, say "they might do nothing, they might run and hide under shelves they might have one massive fight." WHY are we wondering what they will do? I don't get it but it certainly is exciting. Also where did this creative team come from?
Then an animal handler, in his professional opinion, says "with that amount of cat's, it's unpredictable, and that's why we're doing it." AH! Now we figure it out. IKEA dragged in a hoard of cats to see how they will react. That's why they're doing it. Not to see how much of their store they can cover in cat urine, or how many shoppers go into fits when they come in contact with a mushroom cloud of dander and allergens, but to "see what happens."
