Severe Thunderstorms Move Through Prince George's County

A band of thunderstorms moved across Prince George's County and the surrounding region Wednesday, brining rain, hail, and gusts up to 60 mph.
Severe weather alerts were issued for much of the area, cautioning residents to seek shelter.

"This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, move indoors to a sturdy building and stay away from windows," the National Weather Service warned.
As of 5:10 p.m., minimal power outages were reported across the northern part of the county, but the possibility of more rain and thunderstorms this evening still remained.
