Sleeping Woman Raped in College Park Apartment
Prince George's County Police are searching for a suspect in the Saturday attack in an unlocked building.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Detectives are searching for a man who broke into a College Park apartment and raped a sleeping woman.
Prince George's County Police say that about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, a man broke into an apartment in the 4500 block of Fordham Lane. He assaulted a woman in a bedroom, then fled the apartment when she awoke, police say.
The suspect wore a dark hoodie and khaki pants.

The apartment building and apartment were unlocked when the assailant entered, WTOP reports.
Detectives canvassed the 4500 block of Fordham Lane on Saturday to look for witnesses or suspect descriptions in the attack.

The woman was not a student at the University of Maryland, which sent out an alert about the attack.
