Soap-making Workshop at Franciscan Monastery
Fun & Informative Workshop. Great project for self or family!
The Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild is holding a soap-making workshop on Saturday, July 18, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Learn soap-making history and techniques, and make a hot-process traditional soap (with tallow) or a pure vegetarian soap that you can take home!
Workshop fee is just $25 per person and includes supplies. Lunch on own. RSVP by July 17 to gardenguild@gmail.com.
The mission of the all-volunteer Garden Guild is to preserve and promote the historic monastery’s beautiful gardens, which includes flowers, vegetables, native plants and beehives. The workshop will be in the Sacred Heart Conference Room (near the gift shop) at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, 1400 Quincy St. NE, Washington, DC 20017. Free parking.
