Find What You Need at Services 24/7
A Virtual Resource Center providing residents support and volunteer opportunities goes live.

The Leadership & Community Service-Learning (LCSL) unit at the University of Maryland and the Nonprofit Prince George’s County (NPGC) have partnered to launch Services 24/7 (www.services247.umd.edu), an online directory of more than 300 nonprofit organizations with services and volunteer opportunities for county residents. The virtual resource center aims to bring together nonprofits, Prince George’s County residents, and volunteers, with the goal of building healthier, connected communities.
“We are thrilled to co-develop a resource that connects community members with services they need as well as provides students with volunteer and internship opportunities, bringing the University of Maryland campus closer to its surrounding community,” said Craig Slack, Director of LCSL.
The partnership of LCSL with NPGC allowed the nonprofit database to become a more in-depth and extensive resource center. “The University’s support turned a chart of information on nonprofits into a user friendly website,” said Hillary Lindeman, Directory of NPGC. “Services 24/7 allows County residents to easily find resources and support and connects volunteers to organizations needing help.”
