Weekend Winter Ride for Local Cyclists: Patuxent Wildlife Refuge
Want to burn some calories before packing them on during a Sunday football viewing party? Here's your chance.

Those who want to squeeze in a little exercise, before packing on the calories during AFC Championship viewing parties, might be interested in joining a local group of cyclists for a Sunday ride from College Park.
In recent weeks, the group has been meeting at and wheeling it to shops in College Park, Greenbelt, Washington and the surrounding area. This time, their destination will be the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center.
The group will depart at 1 p.m. Sunday from Proteus, 9217 Baltimore Ave., for a 22-mile loop, and expects to return at 3 p.m. One of the organizers, Jeff Lemieux, promises a moderate pace. If you're still not confident in your pedaling ability, don't worry so much: No one will be dropped he said, though the cyclists might break into smaller groups.
