100,000th Patient Visit for KinderMender After 4 Years in Business

Kid-friendly urgent care clinic KinderMender has reached its 100,000th patient visit – just four years after opening its first location in Columbia, MD.

As part of its celebration, KinderMender held a Guess & Win contest on Facebook leading up to the big day. Anna B. won four tickets to Hershey Park for having the closest guess to the correct date and time of the 100,000th patient visit! KinderMender received its 100,000th office visit June 4, 2015 at 8:27 PM at the Laurel location.

“I never imagined that in June 2015, we would have three thriving locations, much less be celebrating our 100,000th patient visit,” said Dr. Keyvan Rafei, founder and Medical Director at KinderMender. “It’s amazing how much the local community has embraced us – we’re already looking forward to our next 100,000 patient visits!”

Donation to the Casey Cares Foundation

As part of its celebration, KinderMender is also donating $1,000 (the equivalent of 100,000 pennies) to its favorite children’s charity, the Casey Cares Foundation. The Casey Cares Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“We wanted a creative way to share our success with Casey Cares, and we thought, what better way than to donate 100,000 pennies?” said Dr. Rafei.

KinderMender will continue donating to Casey Cares throughout the year as patients contribute their loose change to penny jars located at each of the three locations. 100% of all contributions will be donated to the Casey Cares Foundation.
