11 Charged In DUI Patrol On Thanksgiving Eve: HoCo Police

Almost a dozen people were found driving under the influence before Thanksgiving, police reported.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Nearly one dozen drivers were arrested the night before Thanksgiving in an impaired driving enforcement detail, according to police. A sobriety checkpoint is planned for the weekend, officials added.

Police said extra officers were patrolling roads in Howard County overnight before Thanksgiving thanks to a highway safety grant. They were focused on impaired drivers.

There will be a sobriety checkpoint this weekend at an undisclosed location, police advised.

Drivers will be out in force throughout the holiday season looking for impaired, distracted and speeding drivers as well as those conducting additional traffic violations.
