11th Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration To Help
Enjoy food, fellowship and traditional Irish music and dance at the 11th Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration to help a Tanzanian village.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The 11th annual St. Patrick's Day celebration hosted by the Tanzanian Children's Project and the Knights of Columbus Columbia Council 7559 will be held Saturday starting at 5:30 P.M. at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia. The evening will be filled with traditional Irish music, dance, food, drink, silent auctions, raffles, fun and friendship.
Live entertainment will include traditional Irish music will be performed by Precious Heritage and Irish dancing performed by the The Teelin Irish Dance Company. A traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd's pie will be served. Alcohol will be available with a small donation to cover the cost appreciated; non-alcoholic beverages are free.
Tickets cost $40 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and younger. This year, the net proceeds will be used to install a water well in a remote village in Tanzania. The Tanzanian Children's Project is a non-profit organization that supports health, education, water and sanitation projects in Tanzania.
