2 Artist Exhibits On Display This Fall At Bernice Kish Gallery In Howard County
Two artists will have their work on display at the Bernice Kish Gallery, Slayton House, in Howard County this fall.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two artists will have their work on display this fall at the Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane, Columbia.
Shailaja Didolkar will have a collection of still life and portraiture titled “A Cornucopia of Oil Paintings” in the exhibit. Didolkar practiced medicine for years as an obstetrician/gynecologist with an emphasis in high-risk pregnancies. After retiring, she decided to return to her childhood interest in art. She enjoys oil painting, particularly still life and portraiture.

The opening reception for Nature, Portraiture and Still Life will be held Oct. 29 from 3-5 p.m. The show is open to the public at no charge. Didolkar’s will join artist Sandy Cummings for a gallery talk at the same location on Nov. 1.
Cummings will have a new collection of collages featuring flowers from her garden and a series of images inspired by travel to Cambodia and Iceland on display at the Bernice Kish Gallery as well with an opening reception for Joy and Light on Paper Oct. 29 from 3-5 p.m.

She has been a member of several artists’ groups over the years and has exhibited widely in the Baltimore/Washington area. Registration for the gallery talk can be made by emailing events@wildelake.org.
