2 Assaulted In Attempted Robbery In Columbia: Police

Police said two people went to the hospital this week after an assault in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two people were assaulted Wednesday night in Columbia during an attempted robbery. Police said they sustained minor injuries.

Sometime between 8:30 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, authorities said two adults were approached in the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway by two men who demanded money.

The men assaulted the victims before running away, and the two victims drove themselves to the hospital, where they had minor injuries, according to police.

Nothing was stolen in the attempted robbery, officials said.
