2 Columbia Business Burglaries May Be Related: Police
Police investigate after windows were smashed and items stolen at a pair of Columbia businesses this week.

COLUMBIA, MD – After Race Pace and Verizon Wireless were burgled this week, the Howard County Police Department reports that authorities are investigating the two as possibly related.
At approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, officials say they responded to the 9000 block of Snowden Square Drive after someone called to report hearing glass shattering and seeing people trying to break into the Verizon.
According to police, a window was smashed, and four cell phones were stolen from the store.

The suspects in the Verizon burglary were both males, police said. One was described as wearing a black jacket, dark pants and white shoes; police said the other was wearing a black jacket, dark pants and dark colored shoes.
Police said that the Verizon burglary may be connected to two incidents at another Columbia business.

Someone shot the glass door at Race Pace with a BB gun, then stole a bike, according to officials. The burglary was reported at 10:15 p.m. on Monday, April 4, police said.
The following evening, officers on patrol in the area noticed that a front window was kicked in, but nobody got inside, according to police.
