2 Columbia Restaurants Among Best In U.S. For Groups: OpenTable

COLUMBIA, MD — For Maryland diners planning group outings this holiday season, there is good news. Two of the top restaurants for groups are right here in Columbia, according to OpenTable. In fact, diners will have to look no further than Little Patuxent Parkway for a great venue for their party.

Maggiano's (10300 Little Patuxent Parkway) and Stanford Grill (10500 Little Patuxent Parkway) both made OpenTable's list of the 100 best restaurants for groups in America. They were among five that made the list in Maryland.

"...when it comes to welcoming diners at these restaurants, it's absolutely a case of the more the merrier," said OpenTable Chief Dining Officer Caroline Potter. "These honorees each have a festive, energetic ambiance, warm hospitality, and crowd-pleasing menus that make them perfect for groups."

The dining review website compiled more than 10 million verified reviews from 2016 to 2017 to come up with the 100 Best Restaurants for Groups in America.

All restaurants with a minimum "overall" score and qualifying number of reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of reviews for which "great for groups" was selected as a special feature, OpenTable explained.

Here are the Maryland restaurants that made the list:

• Maggiano's, Columbia
• Stanford Grill, Columbia
• Tower Oaks Lodge, Rockville
• Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Annapolis
• Bluestone, Timonium
