2 Men Convicted, Sentenced In Carjacking Cases: Howard County State's Attorney's Office
One man has been convicted and another sentenced in connection to two separate carjacking cases in Howard County.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two individuals have been convicted and sentenced in connection to two separate carjacking incidents in Howard County.
Christopher Crider, Jr., 35, was found guilty last week by a Howard County jury of carjacking, robbery, second-degree assault and several other related charges. Crider committed a carjacking of a female victim’s black Toyota Highlander on Jan. 20 at the Royal Farms located off Lark Brown Road in Elkridge. Crider will be sentenced Dec. 12, according to the Howard County State's Attorney's Office.
Gotti Armstrong, 23, of Laurel, has been sentenced to 30 years suspending all but 18 years for one count of armed carjacking and one count of the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence. On Aug. 6, 2022, at approximately 8 p.m., a citizen called Howard County Police to report that she was sitting in her vehicle at the parking lot of the Target store located in the 6100 block of Dobbin Road.

According to court documents, the suspects, including Armstrong, pulled in front of the victim’s vehicle. An individual got out of the passenger side of Armstrong’s vehicle, approached the victim on the driver’s side, held up a firearm and ordered the victim out of her vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects drove off in the victim’s vehicle and the vehicle used to block in the victim.
