2 Voter Registration Events Planned In Columbia For 2018 Election
National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, Sept. 25. Here's where to find events in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD — It's National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The Howard County Board of Elections has partnered with the League of Women Voters to host several voter registration drives.
At the events, volunteers will be registering people to vote and helping them update their voter information ahead of the general election.
Candidates for the Howard County Board of Education will be at the East Columbia Branch of the Howard County Public Library for its National Voter Registration Day event, which will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 6600 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045.

In addition, those who attend the event at the East Columbia branch can see sample ballots, get familiarized with voting machines and pick up voting guides to learn about candidates in Maryland's general election.

Here are the voter registration drives in Howard County on Tuesday, Sept. 25:
- East Columbia Branch: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 6600 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045
- Glenwood branch: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 2350 Maryland 97, Cooksville, MD 21723
- Mall in Columbia at lower level food court: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 21044
- Savage branch: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 525 Durness Lane, Laurel, MD 20723
In Maryland, the deadline to register to vote for the 2018 gubernatorial general election is Tuesday, Oct. 16.
