3 Robberies In Columbia Reported Over The Weekend: Police
In two of the robberies, Howard County police said the suspects and victims were acquainted.

COLUMBIA, MD — Three people were robbed in three days in Columbia, the Howard County Police Department reported. The robbery suspects were known to the victims in two of the cases, authorities said.
The most recent robbery happened Sunday afternoon near Kendall Ridge.
A man was giving a ride to an acquaintance when the passenger demanded his watch and acted like he had a weapon. They were in the 8300 block of Tamar Drive at the time of the robbery, which was reported at 2:36 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19. Once the driver surrendered the watch, the suspect wasted no time in leaving. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday night, officials were called to Long Reach, where a pizza deliveryman was assaulted and robbed.
Police said that the victim had been delivering pizza in the area when a man came up to him and proceeded to tackle him. Another man took cash from the deliveryman's pocket, and the two suspects stole off with the pizza order. Nobody was seriously injured in the robbery, which occurred at 9:56 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, in the 9000 block of Flicker Place.

On Friday evening, authorities said a woman was robbed near Hickory Ridge.
Police said an acquaintance assaulted and robbed the victim before taking her cash. Investigators continue looking into the robbery, which happened at 7:01 p.m. in the 5900 block of Watch Chain Way. Authorities say it appears the robbery may have been drug related.
