HCPSS Musicians Featured At 3rd Annual Jazz In The Woods Festival Saturday At 9 AM

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The community has been invited to attend the third annual Jazz in the Woods Festival. The musical celebration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Chrysalis-Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods and features jazz bands and ensembles from 10 Howard County Public School System schools.

Tickets are free and the event is open to the public. Performances will be at the following times:

• 9 a.m. – Harper’s Choice MS Jazz Band
• 9:25 a.m. – Wilde Lake MS Jazz Band
• 9:50 a.m. – Marriotts Ridge HS Jazz Ensemble
• 10:20 a.m. – Folly Quarter MS Jazz Band 1
• 11:15 a.m. – Folly Quarter MS Jazz Band 2
• 11:40 a.m. – Murray Hill MS Jazz Band
• 12:05 p.m. – Glenelg HS Jazz Ensemble
• 12:35 p.m. – Bonnie Branch MS Jazz Band
• 1 p.m. – Mt. Hebron HS Jazz Ensemble 1
• 1:30 p.m. – Mt. Hebron HS Jazz Ensemble 2
• 2 p.m. – Ellicott Mills MS Jazz Band
• 2:25 p.m. – Wilde Lake HS Jazz Ensemble

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Marriotts Ridge High School, 12100 Woodford Drive, Marriottsville. The performance schedule will remain unchanged.
