6-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck By A Car In Columbia: Police
A six-year-old boy and his mother were in the crosswalk when a car hit them. They were taken to the hospital where the little boy died.
COLUMBIA, MD — A six-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon. The boy, Isaac Gill, and his mother, Nazia Gill, 38, were in the crosswalk at Harpers Farm Road and Twin Rivers Road at approximately 2 p.m. Isaac was taken to Howard County General Hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead. His mom sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
The man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and wasn't injured. Police continue to investigate the incident. No charges have been filed at this time, according to the Howard County Police Department. The road was shut down for approximately 90 minutes.
