Police: 9-Year-Old Columbia Boy Has Been Found

A Columbia boy disappeared Tuesday after a disagreement with a relative, Howard County police said; by Wednesday, he had been located.

UPDATE — Police said that the 9-year-old Columbia boy who disappeared Tuesday has been found safe and unharmed. By early Wednesday morning, De’vonte Terrence Mauric Jordan had been located.

COLUMBIA, MD — Authorities are asking for help finding a 9-year-old Columbia boy who went missing Tuesday night after a disagreement with a family member.

At 6:30 p.m., De’vonte Terrence Mauric Jordan left home in the 9400 block of Two Hills Court, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Concerned because of his age, the boy's family contacted authorities, who have incorporated a police helicopter and K-9 officers in the search. After 10:30 p.m., officials still had not located him.

De’vonte Terrence Mauric Jordan was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt that said "Champ Camp," along with black shorts and blue shoes. He is described as 4'6" tall and 61 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about De’vonte Terrence Mauric Jordan is asked to call 911.
