Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County
These pets are searching for their forever homes. They currently are at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Star is a two-year-old female brown tabby cat who will greet you when you arrive home or walk into a room where she's lounging. She's a combination of sweet and sassy and loves to rub around your legs for attention. But when she's petted, she gets overstimulated and her new owner should be intuitive and recognize when she's ready to stop. In her previous home, Star lived with children but didn't have any other feline or canine siblings, so she would need a room of her own to feel safe in if her new home has other pets. She would adore a home with with scratching posts and toys, and likely do best in a home with older children.
Lulu is a one-year-old female Jack Russell Terrier who was hit by a car while running loose. When her owner encountered an unexpected medical expense, Lulu was surrendered to Howard County Animal Control. While at the shelter, she underwent a surgical procedure to save her leg. Now she's hoping to find a forever family who will patiently help her recover. She's incredibly sweet and despite her injury, is quite energetic. She will need training, as her breed tends to be a bit headstrong. She's a vocal girl, so she'll likely do best in a home without young children.
Milkshake is 55 pounds of adorableness. This girl is believed to be two or three years old and is a mix between a chocolate lab and American pit bull terrier. She's exceptionally sweet and loving. She's fond of people and other dogs, too. She enjoys exploring in the yard and has a medium energy level. She will jump when excited, but will stop when told "off."

A bundle of energy and love, Kalvin is looking for a new home with an animal buddy he can play with. He loves to run, jump and pounce, and has a matching personality full of love. He enjoys exploring and would thrive if there are cat trees for climbing. He's absolutely adorable to watch in motion.
