Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week In Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Harvey is a friendly 3-year-old neutered male Whippet mix. Harvey is a gentle pup and hopes to find a loving furever home. In his previous home, he did not live with children, dogs or cats, so if you have a resident pet in the home, a slow introduction will be needed. Harvey will do best in a home where he will always have company. He is what the shelter calls pleasantly plump and will need a family who will work on his activity level so he can live a long healthy life.

Scrappy is a spunky and energetic 1-year-old male Chihuahua. Scrappy loves to cuddle but also likes to run around the play yard at top speed. Since he is so young, Scrappy is still learning boundaries and will benefit from obedience training once adopted. Since he is still working on his manners, it is recommended that he not have a home with young children. When he is left alone, Scrappy becomes vocal so he may not do well in an apartment or condo dwelling. Scrappy was brought to the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center as a stray so they do not know how he will do in a home with other dogs or cats. If you have a resident pet in the home, a slow introduction will be needed.

Sprite is an adorable female 9-month-old kitten who is bashful and darling. Once she knows you and her surroundings, she is friendly and very affectionate. She love it when she is petted and will rub on you for more attention. Sprite would enjoy a quiet home because new sounds make her nervous. She lived in a home with other cats and enjoys her covered kitty bed.

Pip is a cute male 9-month-old kitten who is friendly, curious and playful. He needs some coaxing to approach a person when he is in a new situation, but his friendliness takes over and he wants attention. He loves it when he is petted. Pip lived in a house with other cats and would be just fine with other felines.

Kash is a wonderful, affectionate and sweet gray kitty who is 3 years old. He lived in a home with other cats. Kash makes biscuits as soon as you start talking to him. He is happy to be with someone and receive loads of attention. Kash enjoys window sills for watching wildlife outside and enjoys a cat tree for climbing. He is an absolute love, the shelter shared.
