COLUMBIA, MD — The annual Honor and Remembrance Ceremony recognizes fallen career and volunteer fire and rescue service members from Howard County will be next week.
During the ceremony, elected and appointed officials will speak, the names of fallen heroes will be read aloud and a ceremonial wreath laying will take place, followed by a choral performance.
Family, friends and community members are welcome to attend the event, which will be Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Garden of Valor - Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, which is located at 2150 Mount View Road in Marriottsville.
The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services hosts the event. A rain date has been set for Oct. 4.
