HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Starting Friday night, three lanes will close on northbound Interstate 95 in the Columbia area so emergency repairs can be made.
The closure will start at 9 p.m. and affect three lanes of I-95 just before westbound MD 32 at exit 38B.
Crews will be replacing a bridge joint, which will require the entire weekend, officials said.
Only one lane of northbound I-95 will be open during the construction period.
Drivers are encouraged to consider alternative routes such as US 1 (Washington Boulevard), US 29 (Columbia Pike) or MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway).
