Armed Robbery Of Columbia Deliveryman Nets 2 Arrests

Two suspects accused of holding up a pizza delivery man in Columbia were served with arrest warrants, police said.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two people have been charged in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Columbia, according to police. Officials said that investigators recently identified and arrested the duo, which involved one suspect and his accomplice.

Police said that a man was delivering pizzas in the 7100 block of Winter Rose Path when he was approached by a man who showed a gun and demanded the pizza as well as cash. Once the victim complied, the suspect left the area, according to authorities.

The robbery happened on May 31, and the suspects were arrested in the past several days, court records show.

Divine Juantae Johnson, 23, of Gillmore Greens Court in Brandywine, has been charged with armed robbery; robbery; conspiracy to commit armed robbery; first-degree assault; second-degree assault; and theft from $100 to $1,500.

A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest on Aug. 8; he was taken into custody on Aug. 14 and is being held without bail. There is a bail review hearing set for Thursday morning in Howard County District Court.

Justin Dion Brown, 27, of the 6800 block of Sanctuary Court in Elkridge, has been charged with armed robbery; second-degree assault; and theft from $100 to $1,500, court records show. He has been held without bail since July 27 and has a bail review hearing set for Aug. 23.
