Assault At Party City: Columbia Crime
Police said two Columbia businesses were the scenes of crimes in the past few days.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent crimes in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Rams Head Tavern was burglarized in the 8600 block of Foundry Street in Savage. The front glass door was broken at 2:24 a.m. on Oct. 24. It was unclear whether anything was taken.
Party City employees were assaulted when they tried to prevent two women from shoplifting. The assault in the 6100 block of Dobbin Road occurred at 7:31 p.m. on Oct. 23. Three employees were assaulted, but no serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

There was a robbery at the McDonald's in the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way at 5:09 p.m. on Oct. 23. A man went into the restaurant and placed an order, then stole cash from the register when it opened. He left, but authorities said they found and arrested the suspect. Kyle Devan Colliver, 23, of Overheart Lane in Columbia, was charged with robbery, theft less than $100 and second-degree assault. He was being held at the Howard County Detention Center without bail, according to court records.
