Atholton Hosts Evening of Art and Soup
Empty Bowls 2015 and Student Art Show at Atholton High School raises funds for Grassroots
Atholton High School recently held Empty Bowls 2015 & Student Art Show to raise funds for Grassroots, Howard County’s 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. Students displayed the past year’s artistic efforts and hosted a soup and bread dinner prior to the school’s annual dance concert. Attendees paid $10 for the dinner, raising $1,600, which was donated to fund programs and services provided by Grassroots. Organizers included art teachers (from l.) Zach Titford, David Decker and Scott Brenfleck.
