HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Howard County with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Howard County Public School System.

The first day of school for most students in kindergarten through 12th grade in Howard County is Aug. 29.

Conferences: Nov. 21-23; schools close three hours early Nov. 21-22 and closed on Nov. 23

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25

Winter Break: Dec. 26 - Jan. 2

Spring Break: Early dismissal on March 31 and closed April 3-10

Last Day: June 13 pending any snow days
