Best Holiday Lights in Columbia 2014

Where to find the most awe-inspiring homes decorated for the holidays in Columbia.

Columbia offers tons of twinkle and sparkle, so Patch asked readers to tell us where they’ve spotted some of the best—and you didn’t disappoint.

Check out our list of some of the best displays, and the map to go with it.

  • Beaverbrook: 5034 Durham Road East, Columbia. Homeowner Charles Daniels has been creating awe-inspiring light shows for years, earning distinction as a national finalist in Patch’s “Deck the House” competition in 2012. This season, he told The Baltimore Sun he’s gone “overboard” because starting in 2015, he plans to tone things down as his pine trees are dying and will need to be removed.
  • Owen Brown: 6600 block of Drowsy Day, Columbia.
  • River Hill: 6426 Onward Trail, Clarksville. The light show is synchronized to music, according to the reader who nominated it. Turn your radio on to hear it.
  • Rivers Edge: Long View Road at Rivers Edge Road. Attractions include a train, reindeer and “beautiful lights,” according to the reader who nominated this address. There are also reportedly dancing Christmas trees at 7045 Long View Road.
