Best Restaurant, Chef, Bar In Maryland: 2022 Winners

MARYLAND — Restaurants and their staffs won bragging rights to the title of the best in Maryland.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland coordinates the annual Stars of the Industry Awards, in which the public submits their favorite chefs, bartenders, server and restaurant manager.

This year marked the 66th annual Stars of the Industry Awards. Winners were honored at a Sunday gala at Maryland Live! Casino.

• Chef of the Year: Gregory James - Stars Restaurant /Inn at Perry Cabin, St. Michaels
• Manager of the Year: Kristen Oktavec - One Eleven Main, Bel Air
• Server of the Year: Amanda Wiley - Fallston Barrel House, Fallston
• Bartender of the Year: Shelby Stange - Independent Brewing Company, Bel Air
• 2022 RAM Restaurateurs of the Year: Joe and Mary Barbera - AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar, Columbia
• 2022 Phillips Lifetime Achievement Award: John Minadakis - Jimmy's Famous Seafood, Baltimore
• 2022 Heart of the Industry Award: Roxanne Upole - General Manager, Roy Rogers, Cumberland

Nominations were pared down to the top five in each category by a classified committee of distinguished hospitality industry professionals, according to the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

The public was then allowed to vote for their favorites of these finalists online.
